Often my endless chatter with my friends instigates my thought stream!
Today was no different!
Yesterday, I heard a good friend talk about issues an extrovert girl faces!
Again today, the same topic creeped in my conversation with my buddy gang!
Here goes an insight into my topic for the day!
Gals who mingle well, friendly and wove well with the society are always welcome companions. But this companionship is limited to friendship!
Extrovert females don’t mind speaking to her male friends!
Male friends enjoy their companionship!
But when it comes to the issue of choosing a life partner…. The extrovert gals lose out to introvert ones!
I ve seen lots of introvert gals who with their unspoken words launch a flurry of cupid’s arrows in guy’s heart… and before u understand whats happening…u find a sweet pair!
Not only in love marriages.. even in arranged marriage.. I ve seen the coyer , introvert girls settling soon.. to rephrase in a more crude form…. Being chosen earlier than the extrovert girls!
Y is it the guys are keen on having introvert gals as spouse!
Is it something awfully disgusting in the extrovert gals …if so … y do the guys prefer the company of extrovert girls as friends!
What amazes me..men are able to define what exactly they want in their female friend and in their spouse! And women are more than often ignorant about this!
But the factor of differentiation…”extroverts Vs Introverts” sounds illogical if not dumb!!
Guess I ll leave it here .. ! hopefully new topic should await me tomorrow!

what would be interesting to study is whether this phenomenon is seen only in Indian society, or is it seen in other cultures as well...

Good point!Even I feel the same way.That too if the girl is good looking and silent she becomes a heartthrob.Have seen this phenomenon in college.Dont know why,some psychological reasoning only i think!

If guys(intro or extro??) go for introverted girls, shouldn't extroverted girls look out for introverted guys?
Youve got truth in your words here babe, but the fact can be related to your earlier post of self esteem and ego...
For further analysis, consider the following facts.
1. Guys want to make all the decisions... period! (male ego in full swing !). So when they are faced with an intellectual match, they fall into realms of insecurity...
2. All crap about wavelength matching and stuff applies here... guys transmit and gals receive... those are the kind of guys who flip for quiet and submissive gals..
3. It is never good to generalize... just like you have girls who are extroverts and introverts, similarly guys are of various kinds... I guess you have to go through a huge sampling database to come to conclusions...
And I am really wondering what you meant by settling soon... Life is a pandemoneum... how do you settle down so easy ? I guess those who feel settled are in for it... cos thats when the rollercoster ride starts.
nice post... very much debatable... I guess you have not met a lot of extrovert guys... Those guys who go in for a quiet goody goody gals are typically insecure and want to bolster their male ego... are definitely not extroverts... they are just fishing !!!!

friends are usually for chilling out with, talking to, enjoying with, etc; all of which boils down to talking. Hence you would prefer extroverted friends...
still beats me why most men want an introverted wife though. i for one would prefer an extrovert wife!
First time to your blog & its hardly been a day or 2 since I actively started blogging. I understand what you are saying. But i don't agree that it's universal. Its like applying for a job. Sometimes u feel there was so much of u that didn't come across either in the CV or in the short interview & u feel u could hv done a better job than the selected candidate. But remember EOD u r jus marketing urself & the other person is going 2 draw his/her conclusions on the advertising (extroverted/ introverted behaviour) u do. So probably his conclusion is extrovert = oversmartness + flirt + haughtiness + etc. Which is unfair! but thats the mating game 4 u. The other side is that he probably wants 2 marry an introvert, so why the hell would u want 2 ruin ur life by marrying him.
