Chennapatinam..Madras..Chennai...wat next ?

T Nager has never failed to fascinate me. Be it the crowded railway station or the Hawker ( waiting to hack your purse) prone Ranganathan Street or the “99.99” rated BATA or THE oldest Eatery Saravana Bhavan or the trusted since ages GRT or the newbies Pothys,Chennai Silks or the “One Way“ talking Autokarans or the people who make it the happening place “US”, T Nager sums up the emotion and liveliness of the city. The richness of Nalli and mytic chimes of Kabali temple and the rhythmic beauties in Kalashetra and the mesmerizing voices in the numerous Kutcheries…..Wow!! Chennai .. U rock!

Chennai has always been a fertile ground for jobs and money. Be it the banks or industries like General Motors, FORD, LEATHER Factory or Software majors , Chennai has always had their presence in its soil. Singara Chennai has been blessed on this account. More blessings come in with the attitude of Chennaites.

Chennai, the Conservative Capital, has made the best use of its conservativeness. People have always been stringent of their purses but liberal on their passbooks. Maybe that’s the reason; most Chennaites have been able to spend a lot on their wards Education. No wonder we have “N” number of institutes around the city charging exuberant fees.

With money flowing in, and the CHENNAI- REST OF COUNTRY divide slowly disappearing, it wouldn’t surprise me if Chennai looses it CONSERVATIVENESS to some arbit TIER II city.

What happened to banglore 10 years back is what is happening to Chennai now. A city to known to live its life by its own standards..will we retain the CHENNAI label or is this change going to send us blogging abt the GOOD OL’ Days in Chennai!!

Apalikaaa adutha post la pakalam...ipppodaiki jagaaah vangikaraen!!! ( did i miss Chennai Tamil in my list :P )
